Original Getting TESOL certified at Active Language in Cadiz, Spain was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my professional life. Cadiz is a magical, ancient city with the best beaches in all of Spain- which are maybe a ten minute walk from the academy. What’s better than a relaxing evening swim after a day of class? The instructors who teach the classes are fun and down-to-earth people, not to mention very knowledgeable with years of experience in the TESOL world. Getting actual teaching practice and helpful feedback from instructors and classmates was one of the most invaluable parts of the course for me. After finishing I had more experience, felt more prepared and had the confidence I was lacking have when I started. I recommend this course to anyone who is interested in teaching English as a foreign language!

Original I did my Teacher Training TrinityCERT with Active Language in 2011 and it was a wonderful experience, the staff were extremely supportive and the 5 week course meant that we were able to manage the workload much better compared to other programmes that do the 4 week course which is incredibly intensive. I remained in Cadiz following the TESOL course and worked in an academy for a year. Simon and Dani at Active Language offered their career advice and made the whole experience much easier. Cadiz is also a beautiful place with lots of history and it is a fantastic place to spend the summer!

The course is run extremely well and the staff are supportive, enthusiastic and helped me gain a great deal of knowledge during our lessons and practical teaching sessions. Original I studied for my TrinityCert part-time in 2014 and cannot recommend Active Language highly enough. A great team of tutors providing support and encouragement all the way, combined with studying in one of Andalucia's most beautiful cities, made this a memorable and positive experience. The part-time course obviously differs from the intensive course: on a positive note it allows for more time to complete the assignments and also to have studied all the theory before being thrown into the lion's den. This approach worked for me, although maybe 20years ago I could have coped with the intensive course! Either way, you will leave with a thorough grounding in the teaching skills necessary to launch yourself into the world of 'real-life' teaching, and if you're anything like me, you will find yourself constantly referring back to what you learnt at the time and didn't realise was important until now. I now work full time in a language academy and fully intend to return to Active Language to do my Diploma as soon as possible.
