Historia

The Baleares International College has been in operation since 1957 and serves the expatriate community in Mallorca. Boys and girls are accepted from the age of 3 and remain at the school until they have completed their Advanced Level examinations at the age of 18.

Teaching staff are fully qualified in their subjects, the great majority having completed their training in Britain.

The school follows the English National Curriculum, and a special feature of the school's curriculum is the teaching of the Spanish Language (from Nursery), German language (from Year 3 for native speakers and Year 5 for non-native) and French language (optional from Year 7).

Baleares International college is located on the edge of open countryside in the beautiful area of Sa Porrassa in Calvia.

The Baleares International College has a large number of excellent facilities including; indoor sports centre, playing fields with sports pitches, a swimming pool, all-weather basketball, football and volleyball courts, ICT suite and science laboratories. The classrooms are all air-conditioned for the summer and heated for the winter.

Lunches are cooked in our own kitchen, and are both nutritional and balanced.

The academic programme prepares pupils for international IGCSE and A-Level examinations, which will enable them to enter universities around the world.

The Baleares International College is accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education based upon inspection by the British HMI and is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS) and also a member of the Council of British International Schools(COBIS).

It is also a registered examination centre for The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).

Colegio 100% recomendable. La inmersión en el inglés es real no como otros colegios internacionales. Nuestra hija tiene acento de inglesa y nosotros en casa no hablamos este idioma. La calidad de la enseñanza es excelente. Grupos reducidos en clase y dos profesionales nativos en el aula. Enseñanza muy personalizada y acompañamiento emocional. Se trabaja desde pequeños el ser amable y respetuoso con las otras personas evitando el acoso escolar. Hace dos años cambió el equipo directivo y sin duda fue para mejorar este colegio. Tras visitar otros colegios de la zona, estoy muy contenta de haber escogido BIC.
Mala escuela, solo están interesados en el dinero. Además, el nivel académico es extremadamente bajo,los estudiantes intimidan a los más débiles sin que ningún guardia se preocupe por eso, también beben y fuman por las esquinas,algo que no se puede permitir en un centro de estas características.Y por último,han hecho un gran negocio con el comedor. Hay muchas mejores escuelas por Mallorca.
