Historia

Canary Diving Adventures was established 1998 in the south of Gran Canaria by Jerry and David O’Connor, both PADI diving instructors with more than 20 years experience in the dive industry. Canary Diving Adventures is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre Dive (Professional Association of Diving Instructors), focused on providing a very high standard of service and safety in its daily dive trips and PADI diver education. Our highly qualified, multilingual staff aim to make your time with us an enjoyable fun filled adventure. Based in the Taurito Princess Hotel, Playa de Taurito, near Puerto Mogan, the headquarters of Canary Diving Adventures is only minutes away by boat (7.5 m RIB /200 HP Suzuki engine) from all the best southerly dive sites. With all year round diving, a daily minibus service and two tank dives daily for certified divers. Also with diver education from introduction to SCUBA course like Discover Scuba Diving and certification course from PADI Scuba Diver to PADI Assistant Instructor as well as snorkeling trips and rentals, Canary Diving Adventure offers a full range of programs to suit all levels.

With our three additional centers based in the Hotel Gloria Palace Royal and Hotel Gloria Palace Amadores located at Amadores beach near Puerto Rico and the Hotel Gloria Palace San Augustin located in Playa del Ingles/ San Augustin, we service the whole south of Gran Canaria.

So, whether you are having your very first experience with our PADI Discover Scuba Diving program or as a certified diver, enjoying diving on the Marine Reserve of El Cabron and the many wrecks, reefs, cave and drift dives that Gran Canaria has to offer. El sitio está bien, son todos muy profesionales. La monitora española es encantadora y muy profesional, se para bastante a asegurarse que los conceptos los tienes claros y que prime la seguridad en la esperiencia.
Tuvimos una fantástica experiencia gracias a la organización de Jerry y sus 2 ayudantes. Vimos bastantes peces de diferentes colores, una especie de araña o lo que fuese y hasta 2 sepias nos deleitaron con un espectáculo erótico, lo cual imagino que no se ve todos los días. Aprendimos las señas de comunicación y normas de seguridad. Una iniciación inmejorable. Gracias Jerry y espero que hasta pronto.
El dueño parece un militar, continuamente dando ordenes, repitiendo las ordenes una y otra vez, al final buceas estresado. Por otro lado,la zodiac es nueva y para que no se estropee la tiene cubierta con una lona, asi que no hay donde agarrarse, es decir, si tu te caes no pasa nada pero la zodiac no se rompe. They’re knowledgeable, competent, patient, relaxed and fun instructors with heart for nature, diving and their customers. With a lot of humor and personal attention, they will provide you with hands-on/practical experience putting your own scuba gear together, performing safety checks and all necessary diving skills. After a dive briefing you’re expertly guided to the bottom of the ocean, while they make sure you’re comfortable, safe and having a good time every step of the way. Although we were planning to do only one dive this holiday, we quickly got addicted to diving due to the beautiful and lively environment, as well as our instructors’ enthusiasm, competency and teaching skills. We ended up doing not only the PADI Open Water Course with Canary Diving Adventures, but then also got invited to go along on an amazing boat trip with two additional dives. Original Best Dive Centre Me and my sister learned to dive at this centre when we were 10, we completed our junior open water then and have dived many times since. We both came back In July this year to complete our advanced diver course. Jerry and Bert were both exceptional, funny and very knowledgeable at what they do. Neither of us had dived in over 18 months and the "Check dive" was a perfect refresher. We then did 3 different wreck dives and a drift dive while we were there as well as the required specialist dives to complete our advanced course. There's plenty of sea life to sea included huge rays, eels, cuttlefish, bobs octopus and loads of fish. The 3 wreck sites we dived were 18, 20 and 30 metres deep, the local submarine was in the water at the same time as us which was cool. The equipment is all in great condition, plenty of wet suit sizes, fins and masks. Jerry the owner is very open and will answer any question so don't feel nervous around him, Bert was also extremely chill and nice just make sure to bring him chocolate. They also offer snorkelling in the caves and reef just around the shore, loads to see on these adventures too. Overall, its the perfect dive centre, its not to formal but Jerry and Bert are both very professional and knowledgeable. The whole time we were there was very chilled out, Jerry's yoga before each dive helped this. Would really recommend this dive centre for all divers new or experienced. Hopefully be back there next summer!
