Historia

Candela's is a new and exciting establishment dreamt up by two young circus performers with a passionate endeavour to pass on the skills they have learnt throughout their careers to a brand new generation with a lust for action and adventure. Candela's aim is to provide a safe and fun environment in which children can engage in circus skills and/or gymnastics to a high level. Here, not only will Candela's teach youngsters courageous new talents, but also the importance of commitment, team work and self belief.

That's not all! As well as accommodating activities for children, Candela's offers a wide range of classes for adults too. Candela's wanted to branch away from the usual mundane examples of exercise for adults who were not inspired to take themselves to a gym for their "keep fit" regime. For those that do not get excited by the idea of running on a treadmill for half an hour, why not get involved at one of Candela's fun, easy going alternative fitness classes? Anything from Hula hooping fitness, to trampoline fitness. Candela's has it all. Even for the more adventurous types, Candela's offer Aerial fitness classes either on a low Trapeze or aerial hoop.

"I wanted to create a space where adults could get fit and have fun. I was sick of walking into intimidating gyms or fitness classes where it seemed only the 'already fit' could comfortably work out. I wanted to make something more personal, where people enjoyed being and were able to laugh and have fun... Who said getting fit had to be a chore?" Lucy Ladbrooke (co-founder of Candela's)
