Historia

Welcome to this fabulous traditional townhouse in one of the most desirable parts of the old town, on the edge of breath taking and vibrant Antequera.
This fully equipped, welcoming house will feel like home within minutes and throughout your stay you will only encounter one problem… you’ll never want to leave.
The house has everything and more you require for a self catering, self sufficient, superb holiday. In addition you have your own small, private balcony with spectacular views of El Torcal National Park.
There is no need to venture far from Antequera as it has everything you require. Our architecture, history, ancient churches (all 30+ of them!), views, walks, cafes, bars and award winning tapas restaurants are all available within a five minute walk. El Torcal national park is only a 15 min drive away and the world famous ancient Dolmens, dating back over 3000yrs BC are a few minutes drive from your door. The famous EL CHORRO Gorge walk is only around a 30min scenic drive.The downtown shopping district provides a plethora of excellent shops to satisfy even the most ardent shopaholic. The large municipal pool and many other stunning swimming locations are all close by.

Car hire isn’t necessary but is recommended to allow you to get the best out of the area. The airport and beaches are only a 40 minute easy drive. But we have municipal pools close by as well as the fabulous Ardales Lakes (Los Embalses) Day trip excursions can be arranged, tailored to suit your requirements, for a small extra fee. For those with a car, free parking is available just across the road.


Antequera, known as the “crossroads” of Andalucia benefits from excellent road and rail links to all areas of this region. For those wishing to travel further afield, the amazing sights and rich cultural heritage of the many larger cities are easily accessible. Within easy reach is stunning Seville (under 2 hours), cordial Cordoba (1.5hours) and the gorgeous Granada (1 hour). Shorter day trips can be made from here to popular tourist destinations such as The Ardales (The Lakes), El Chorro Gorge, Rhonda, and of course, the popular beaches of the Costa Del Sol and all they offer are just over half an hours drive. Furthermore the high speed train to Madrid lies only a few kilometres away making this an ideal base for exploring a wide and varied area.
The area has superb golfing, cycling and bird watching facilities and for the more adventurous, mountain biking, rock climbing and kayaking to name a few. All of which can be arranged for you, prior to your visit.
We live below the property in a separate house so are on hand should you require any travel directions, ideas on things to do or simply a point in the right direction for the best bars and restaurants.
