Historia

Castell Miquel is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Majorca, the Serra de Tramuntana. The winery produces premium wines that set up new standards in taste and quality as well as some typical Majorcan delicacies.

In a unique way Castell Miquel combines old winemaking traditions with modern science: vineyard owner and pharmacist Prof Michael Popp sets up the same standards for wine growing as for the development of herbal medicines. His vision: create a new, pure and intense wine experience.

Castell Miquel follows a clear quality philosophy: produce a small amount in high quality for real wine lovers. There are only around 20,000 bottles per wine and vintage. Each one of them delivers a pure and unforgettable experience. Discover Castell Miquels unique wines and taste its characteristic flavors.

In 2014 Prof Michael Popp acquired another beautiful estate: the Finca SaCanova near Sa Pobla. Here we partly cultivate the plants that are needed for the production of herbal medicines. SaCanova is the perfect place for younger and older visitors alike to collect knowledge about the flora and to experience magic moments.
