A very special place, the accommodation is full of Spanish character but with all the conveniences of home. Everywhere are inviting places to sit and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this gorgeous spot. 
If you have come to ride you can rest assured that you won’t find a riding establishment in Spain with better cared for horses, everything is done with consideration of their needs. There are rescued and retired horses in sanctuary here, and by riding you are contributing to their upkeep.
Clive and June are the most considerate hosts who will do their utmost to provide the perfect stay. If you are catered for, the food is delicious, made with love from fresh ingredients, and tailored to multiple requirements.
I’ve never felt as relaxed, the spirit of Cortijo Los Lobos will sustain me when I go back to reality! Thank you June and Clive

Just love going to this place and visit most years for a riding holiday whilst staying in one of the charming cottages. The horses are a delight and my husband and I like the bitless and barefoot ethos. Every horse we have ridden has been responsive and a great ride. June and Clive are great hosts and 'paella night' is a highlight for all concerned. We also like the fact there is a swimming pool to relax in.

I met June and Clive through Workaway approximately 7 years ago now and have been to visit every year since, sometimes twice a year. June and Clive have become great friends of mine and of my family and it is amazing to be involved in their idyllic life. They live in the most beautiful location and take a lot of pride in attention to detail and are constantly improving facilities. You would struggle to find a more beautiful location to holiday and ride!

I stayed here as a guest a few years ago and had a great time. However when I stayed as a helper I felt unsafe due to being kicked and bitten multiple times throughout my time (no major injury but not horses I wanted to be around). I have a rescue horse myself so I know that they can be difficult at times, but these horses were disrespectful and accustomed to just doing what they want. The helpers were not under contract but we felt we were being treated unprofessionally. This was to the point where a couple of guests who had seen us being spoken to had come up to us and expressed themselves as being sorry for us.
As a guest you will most likely have a great time but I felt like what was happening behind the scenes should be expressed as well.

We booked a riding morning at Cortijo Los Lobos after some serendipitous Googling and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Andalusia. June could not have made us feel more welcome. My wife and I as well as our boys (aged 6 and 4) were sat atop of horses within 5 minutes of arriving! (All of us are complete horse riding novices). The trek through the local countryside was idyllic. It was refreshing to learn of June and Clive's wonderful mission to rehouse abandoned and maltreated horses and to facilitate riding without bits and horseshoes. A special morning spent in wonderful company.
