Cullera is a typical Spanish seaside town. It is where the Spanish go on holiday and the majority of visitors are from Madrid and nearby Valencia. There are also visitors from France, Germany and UK, however very little English is spoken in the town… it is Spain after all!
If you are after English tea and food, designer shops or discos then you won't find it here. If, however, you want a comfortable base a stones throw from a wonderful sandy beach, great views of the sea, castle and mountains and the opportunity to sample some excellent and reasonably priced Spanish cuisine, then look no further.
It is only 38 km from Valencia (40 min drive from Valencia airport), the famous El Soler golf club is 20km away and the beach you see in the photo is a 6 min walk!

FALLAS (June) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falles
More than a dozen Fallas monuments are constructed in Cullera celebrating the day of San Jose. Music and the gunpowder take centre stage in a festive programme that also includes the offering of flowers, other cultural acts, “Mascletàs” parades and a huge paella is made in middle of town and given out for free to all.
