Historia

Duquesa Suites Barcelona was inaugurated in 2016 and occupies a stately building from the Eighteenth century in front of the old port of Barcelona. It is an exclusive hotel that enjoys a privileged location between the Gothic district and the sea, a short distance from the city’s main monuments, museums and gastronomic and cultural references.

With a total of 30 suites spread over 6 floors, Duquesa Suites Barcelona shares the property with Hotel Duquesa de Cardona, located just a few yards away on Passeig Colom itself.

The sea and its relationship throughout history with the city of Barcelona is the leitmotif that characterises the philosophy of Duquesa Suites Barcelona, where guests can enjoy and experience the essence of Barcelona’s most maritime side, reflected in the hotel by the Reina Victoria Eugenia ocean liner.

A large scaled painting of this historical boat presides the entrance of Duquesa Suites Barcelona, alongside different old photographs that pay tribute to the intense and eternal link between Barcelona and the sea, related to transport, commerce, leisure, fishing and war.

You can “sense” the sea in the blue tones and different interior-design elements of Duquesa Suites Barcelona and “feel” it on its panoramic terrace, one of the most spectacular ones in the city thanks to its stunning views. On it is the panoramic swimming pool, where guests can enjoy a swim while taking in unique and unforgettable views of the port and the sea.
