Medieval fortress ss XII-XV in the heart of the Natural Cork tree forest. One of the few remaining inhabited fortresses in Europe.

Historia
La Posada is an inn or hostel, usually located on routes far from cities, where travellers can find accommodation and usually food and drink .They serve as meeting places for travellers and locals. Before the invention of the automobiles and motorcycle, the inns also served to feed and rest for the animals that carried travellers.
They began when the Romans built their famous system of roads for two millennia. Some inns of Europe are several centuries old. La Posada offers 3 double bedrooms ensuite, large comunal kitchen, dining area, sitting room, patio and a large terrace overlooking straights of Gibraltar through to Africa.The area is surrounded by national park and is ideal for nature lovers who need a break from the citylife. Inside the castle walls you can find a couple of wifi bars serving tapas and drinks. Also some cute souvenir shops. Local companies offer kayaking, guided tours through the Cork tree forest and trips to Morroco. Renowned beaches of Tarifa and Bolonia 40 min by car. All travellers welcome, all ages and their pets.
