Our restored Cortijo is situated in the tiny, sleepy hamlet that is Los Josefos. Here our neighbours still bake bread in the traditional domed bread oven and farm almonds like generations before them. Los Josefos is a short walk from the white painted village square of Los Alias. There you will find a small geological museum, Church and a tiny village school. The square also serves as the school playground, meeting place and venue of the village's three day fiesta at the end of August. Set amongst tranquil almond, olive, orange and lemon trees one of the first things you will notice is the clearness of the air. Almost the only sounds that can be heard are those of the bird song and goats bells.
