On our arrival, Susan and her happy nature was there to greet us. Gave us water and showed us to our accommodation, that we will say was lovely. Bed was comfy, we honestly did not need anything apart from food and wine. But thats all in the honestly bar so you just fill that out in a book as you want it. Susan also makes the best food, you have to book this but if I was you, please book it, you will not be dissapointed. All in all, we would have stayed there much longer as we were so comfortable and loved the place so much. Thanks you, Susan for looking after us and we enjoyed your company.

Surrounded by bliss and beauty, we enjoyed doing trips to the small local villages. We enjoyed even more, to return to the house and relax in the evenings, with delightful local wine and food - having a 360 degree view of the valley and sea. Al and Susan are an added bonus to this place, they made us feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble, I especially liked the ability to have privacy or company with the private area you have and the communal area for everyone, to sit relax and have a chat over a drink from the honesty bar! The pool was clean and refreshing with a great view also, and I was thrilled to when Al and Susan arranged for me to have a massage from the local masseuse this was the perfect ending to a perfect holiday, I have come back feeling relaxed, refreshed and looking to see when I can re-book!

Last year we visited the other finca of Al & Susan, which we allready liked a lot, and this place is even been more beautiful! There are so many beautiful little corners where you can enjoy the views, the pool, the sun,… all very nice decorated by Susan. This paradise is even more beautiful than what you can see in the pictures. Al & Susan are the perfect hosts! So kind and warm, always there when you need something but with respect for your personal space. They can feel the vibe of their guests . We can’t imagine to find a place that can beat this one, we had the best holiday and we definitly come back .

There’s the rare and fantastic addition of an honesty bar, so if you’re after a poolside tipple and haven’t stocked up enough, you can just write what you take in the book and pay for it at the end. Very affordable! We were a group of four two couples and stayed in the Finca, which is essentially a little house, with a cottage feel to it. We had a private terrace in the front, a kitchen lounge downstairs and two well-furnished double bedrooms upstairs, both with en-suites. One of the bedrooms leads off onto a large private balcony/ terrace that has views over the pool and mountains beyond. This is a fantastic way to enjoy your morning coffee or some private tanning time. We also loved viewing the stars from here at night and Al was kind enough to show us Jupiter and it’s moons using his rather fancy telescope. Susan and Al could not have done enough for us. Even before getting there they were super informative and gave us plenty of directions. They welcomed us like old friends with refreshments on arrival and a tour of everything the place has to offer. They know the area so well and were able to offer us plenty to go see and do and during our stay they even set up a lovely outdoor cinema evening under the stars on the patio for us to enjoy a film completely of our choice. We just had an absolutely wonderful time here and we feel really grateful to have been able to enjoy it with such warm and generous hosts.

Original A little piece of Paradise in the Spanish mountains, an amazing place to kick back and unwind. We stayed in the Casita, a romantic hideaway tucked down a side terrace. All terraces furnished in informal Morrocan inspired chairs, cushions and day beds. The swimming pool is a good size to get a few lengths in and cool off. Then there's the amazing hosts, Al and Susan. Their food is delicious, they provide bespoke hospitality to every guest, and then there's the bottomless honesty bar. You will leave Hammock and Stars in a refreshed and relaxed mind frame and will have made at least two new friends.
