Instituto Internacional de Sociología Jurídica - International Institute for the Sociology of Law.
The Institute was created in 1988 by the Research Committee on the Sociology of Law and the Government of the Basque Country. From the outset, the Institute created international collaborative relations between sociology of law scholars by providing facilities for seminars, workshops, visiting scholars and library research. The Institute has now grown into an important base for the international network of scholars who work on law and social science issues. The Institute is located in a Spanish Renaissance building completed in 1543 as a university law school and donated by the provincial government of Gipuzkoa.

"El Comité de Investigación de Sociología Jurídica de la Asociación Internacional de Sociología y el Gobierno Vasco crearon en 1988 el Instituto Internacional de Sociología Jurídica en Oñati Gipuzkoa. Desde sus inicios, el Instituto ha establecido vínculos académicos y relaciones de colaboración con diversas universidades europeas y no europeas, ofreciendo instalaciones para la organización de seminarios, talleres, para profesores visitantes y proyectos de investigación en la biblioteca. Con el paso de los años, el Instituto se ha convertido en una base importante para la red mundial de estudiosos que trabajan en el ámbito de las ciencias jurídicas y sociales.Para más información, visite nuestra web."
