Historia

EUS: Iparragirre Musika Elkartea 2002. urte inguruan sortu zen, Gernika-Lumoko egoera kulturala eta entseatzeko lokal gabeziari irteera bat eman nahian.

Hasierako urte hauetan, parte hartzen genuen musika taldeok, lokal bat alokatu, bertan entsegu gelak eta eszenatoki xume bat egokitzeko beharrezkoak izan ziren obrak burutu eta hainbat jarduera kultural antolatu izan ditugu, bereziki kontzertuak eta beti ere, modu autogestionatu eta autofinantziatuan.

Bien bitartean, egoitzatik kanpo ere ekitaldiak antolatzen dihardugu, hala nola, rock&rally kontzertu festibal erraldoia, rockomobil musika ibiltaria edo umeentzako rock tailerrak beste batzuen artean.

Hasiera batean, elkartea talde gutxi batzuek osatzen bazuten ere, pixkanaka, 15 musika talde aktibotan 80 bazkide inguru izatera heldu gara (eta handitzen jarraitzen du), gure aktibitaterako erabiltzen dugun lekua txiki gelditzen zaigularik.

Arazo honi konponbide bat eman nahian, Iparragirre Rock Elkartea danok entseatzeko aukera izango dugun tokira aldatu eta lokal berrien eraikitze prosezuaren amaieran dago!

Egoitza berri honetan, bazkide guztion izerdia eta xoxak jarri eta gero, harroki esan dezakegu musika lokala eta ez hain lokala sustatzeko behar bezalako entsegu gela eta sekulako kontzertu aretoa eraiki dugula.

Horrela, Iparragirre Musika Elkarteak, eskualdeko musika ikasleen jarraipen natural bat bezala ikusten du bere burua, non partaide guztien arteko elkarlanaren bitartez, musika munduan murgildu eta berau sustatzen dihardugularik.

CAS: Queriendo dar una respuesta al estado cultural de Gernika-Lumo y la falta de locales de ensayo, en 2002 se crea la Asociación de Música Iparragirre.

Los grupos que participabamos comenzamos por alquilar un local y llevar a cabo las obras necesarias para adaptarlo a unas salas de ensayo y un pequeño escenario. Desde entonces hemos organizado una serie de actividades culturales, en particular conciertos, pero siempre de una manera autogestionada y autofinanciada.

Al mismo tiempo, hemos ido organizado eventos fuera del local, como pueden ser el gran festival de conciertos rock&rally, el rockomobil de música andante o talleres de rock orientados a niños, entre otros.

Aunque inicialmente la asociación estaba formada por unos pocos, con el tiempo hemos llegado a ser 15 grupos en activo y más de 80 soci@s, y seguimos creciendo, dejando el espacio demasiado pequeño para nuestras actividades.

Para tratar de solucionar este problema y poder ofrecer el suficiente espacio para ensayar a todos los grupos, la Asociación de Rock Iparragirre está acabando de mudarse a unas nuevas dependencias de nueva construcción!

Esta nueva sede, donde se han invertido el sudor y ahorros de tod@s l@s soci@s, incluye dependencias de ensayo para promover a los músicos locales y no tan locales asi como una sala de conciertos en toda la regla. Y estamos orgullos@s!

Así, la Asociación de Rock Iparragirre se entiende como la continuación natural de los estudiantes de música de la zona, donde a través de la cooperación de tod@s, nos adentramos en el mundo de la música y al mismo tiempo, lo promovemos.

ENG: The Iparragirre Music Association was created around 2002 in order to meet the needs stemming from the lack of rehearsal space and the cultural situation of Gernika-Lumo back then.

For the first years, the music groups involved leased a private property that they had to remodel and accommodate to their own needs, building some rehearsal studios and a small stage. Through their own independent financing and management, there have been held many cultural activities, especially concerts, while outdoor events such as the Rock & Rally music festival, the walking-music Rockomobil or various rock workshops for children have taken place as well.

Even though the association initially consisted of a few bands, little by little, we have reached the 15 active bands and more than 80 partners mark, and we continue to grow. Due to the current circumstances, we have outgrown our facility and cannot longer seem to cope with all of our activity.

So, to tackle this problem, Iparragirre is currently in the last stages of its moving process to a new space that will embrace all bands and offer them a proper rehearsal space. We can proudly announce that the new building, in which partners’ savings and much sweat were invested, offers enough rehearsal space and a proper concert hall that will serve to promote local -and not so local- musicians.

Consequently, Iparragirre Music Association considers itself as the natural next step of the music-students of the region, where through cooperation we get into and promote the field of music.
