Historia

La Donaira is a luxury eco retreat which has been hailed as one of Spain’s most exciting agricultural projects and is paving the way for eco-tourism. The 750-hectare farm is based largely on a concept known as regenerative agriculture, whereby the fertility of the soil is increased by the process of integrated farming, permaculture and organic management. The farm is home to a range of rare breeds, including Pajuna cattle, Merino sheep and over 70 exquisite Lustiano horses, which are the oldest saddled horse of its kind in the world.

In elegant and inspiring human habitats we blend ancient wisdom with new technologies, redefine luxury and grassroot a polyculture of the land and of the mind. Our activities and events drive a conversation about the human role in nature and seed communities that value cooperation over competition and diversity over profit. We push applied research, challenge established thinking and open-source our best practices to promote a design revolution that transforms our current culture of destructive consumerism into a regenerative stewardship for the biosphere - the garden of life we borrowed from our children.
