How would someone on another world measure time?
An unknown time ago, a survey ship enters our solar system after a hundred year voyage. The explorers sweep past the frozen outer planets, pause briefly above Mars and look down on Earth. They see a world teeming with life. For centuries to come, they study, collect and catalogue.
They begin to modify -they tinker with the destiny of many species on land and in the seas. But there was so much to do in this universe of a hundred billion suns so they set out once more into the abyss. They knew that they would never come this way again. There was no need, the servants they had left behind, us… would one day find them.
