Historia

Biography.

Lauren Staton was born in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire in 1957 and was the daughter of a paper maker and a shop keeper.
At an early age she had a passion for dance and anything creative. She wrote and produced plays and shows for her friends to perform before working with her mother and sister making costumes.
After moving to Somerset with her late husband in 1989, she founded face painting company Snazaroo and produced the first books about face painting which were published by Kingfisher books (Grisewood and Dempsey) One of them Five Minute Faces remains in print after twenty four years.
Following the death of her husband Paul in 1997 she moved to France with her children and then finally settled in Spain.
With no wish to retire, she set up an association to help young expat children living a third culture lifestyle to search for opportunities and follow their career paths. Her most passionate writing has come from the involvement with this association.
As somebody who has always had to write for her work in a marketing and promotional capacity, she learnt what it meant to discover new words and interesting ways to develop your subject so it would get read. Her style developed using more freedom to express what she felt most passionate about. Immersing herself in writing a daily poetry blog and spiritual stories she built up the courage to take on the task of writing her first novel, Notes from the Edge. The story of Harry Killbuck.
