This is one attraction you don't want to miss. The Caves of Drach is one of the most beautiful and popular places in Mallorca. You'll have the chance to walk through the underground caves and listen to a string quartet beside the underground lake. Then you would visit the Majoricas Pearl Factory and learn how they create their jewelry. But your day won't end until you explore on your own at Porto Cristo.

Start this adventure by meeting your guide close to your Mallorca cruise ship pier. Then your shore excursion guide will escort you to your air-conditioned and comfortable bus for a approximate1-hour picturesque ride to the east side of the island and your first stop, Porto Cristo, home of the magnificent Caves of Drach.

The Caves of Drach (or Dragon Caves) were discovered back in the middle ages. You will immerse in the fascinating history for a guided 1-hour walk-through in the underground caves and see through almost 4,000 feet (1200 meters) the colors and formations that make the caves famous. Enjoy seeing formations such as the "flag" or the "snow-capped mountain". Then you would walk to Lake Martel, an underground lake named after the French geologist Edouard Martel discovered it back in the late 19th century and which is said is one of the largest in the world. You would board a wooden boat to see the the formations upclose while you listen to classical music played by a quartet. Let yourself be carried away by the magic of the place and music.

You'll board your coach and go to the Majorica Pearl factory located in Manacor. When you arrive, an expert guide would be waiting for your next adventure. You will learn about their manufacturing process and see the exhibition and museum. Majorica Pearls invented a delicate production process of organic pearls back in 1890 and since then they have become very popular and their beautiful pearls and jewelry can be found worldwide. If you see a piece or two you like, guests will receive a discount on your pearl purchases.

Your day is not over yet, you will board your bus for a short ride to Porto Cristo. This town is a natural harbor and started off as a charming fishing town; nowadays it's a family-friendly destination for vacationing and keeps its charm with ancient stone houses and white villas. You will have 1.5 hours to walk around or just relax at the beach. Once your time in Porto Cristo is complete, you will return to your Mallorca cruise pier.
