Historia

Located in the heart of San Antonio on a hill over looking the now notorious West End, it has been a´mecca´for workers and tourists alike since it was first opened in 1972.

Its popularity is based on the fact that the ship has maintained the feel of a home away from home.Excellent service and a willingness to help by staff has seen the role of the ship expand over its life so that today it is far more than just a pub.

In fact the ship of today can now be considered, a information bureau, job centre, money exchange, phone shop,ticket outlet, internet cafe and entertainment centre.

This year the ship opened the doors of its kitchen, serving modern British food as well as popular snack food from around the world.It proved to be an instant success. This was due in part to the excellent quality of the food itself and the expansion of the terrace area in the square which provided an relaxed environment in which to eat.

These other functions though important have never distracted from its primary role of a old fashioned pub where people of like minds can meet,enjoy a pint and watch the sport on TV.
