Misión

Welcome to Yoga by Ohm.
My name is Cathrine Theting Ohm and I started Yoga by Ohm last year. I have practised yoga for 13 years and finally I have reached the day when I can start sharing my passion with others. On this page you can follow my journey and also see when and where I teach. I wish to inspire through my posts and maybe also inspire people to actually go to a yoga class. If not mine, maybe somewhere else. I always encourage people to try different kinds of yoga to find the one they enjoy most. Of course, needless to say, i hope that many people will enjoy the ones I practice the most ;-)
So what is yoga?
Yoga is exercise, a philosophy and yoga is a state, a union between body and soul.
Yoga is a philosophical system with 8 branches and the physical yoga is one of them, called Hatha Yoga. Hatha yoga is the name of all physical yoga and under this comes all the different yoga styles, which includes Kundalini, Yin, Hatha, Ashtanga and many more.
Most yoga originates from India but Yin yoga comes from the Chinese, Daoist tradition. It is said that Kundalini yoga and Yin yoga originates from the Himalayas and took different courses from there.
There has been a lot of studies done on the benefits of yoga and meditation. It is no longer just something that the old gurus has said but is actually proven by science. This is very exciting and yoga is booming around the world. It has helped me personally in many ways.
