The ALIBAVA SYSTEM is conceived to measure ionising radiation with semiconductor detectors, providing high sensitivity to low signals, high position resolution and high speed. The frontend electronics is a low noise ASIC with 128 input channels and a clock speed of 40MHz. This is typically coupled with microstrip sensors with inter-strip distance ranging from 40 to a few hundreds of microns. The high channel density and the very good analogue information provided by digitisation of the output of the low noise amplifier on a 10 bit ADC allows a one-dimension position resolution down to a few microns. The system can be combined with a wide range of semiconductor detectors, with a number of readout channels varying from 128 to 256 (depending if the one or two ASIC detector board is used). These are standard detector boards, but we also offer customised solutions to specific needs (various geometries of the detectors, multi-chip boards for larger number of channels...). Several ALIBAVA SYSTEMS can be integrated to provide a multi-plane system for reconstructing the track of the ionising radiation or for improved imaging. Tells us the requirements of your application, we will try to find a solution.
