Historia

Ihobe Sozietate Publiko bat da, Eusko Jaurlaritzaren Ingurumen, Lurralde Plangintza eta Etxebizitza Sailari hainbat zereginetan laguntzeko ardura duena, besteak beste, Euskal Autonomia Erkidegoan ingurumen-politika garatzen eta ingurumen-iraunkortasunaren kultura zabaltzen.

Ihobe es la Sociedad de Gestión Ambiental , su finalidad es apoyar al Departamento de Medio Ambiente, Planificación Territorial y Vivienda del Gobierno Vasco en el desarrollo de la política ambiental y en la extensión de la cultura de la sostenibilidad ambiental en la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco.

Ihobe is an Environmental Management Public Corporation whose aim is to support the Department for the Environment, Land Planning and Housing of the Basque Government in developing its environmental policy and in spreading the culture of environmental sustainability in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country.

Ihobe también trabaja para las empresas y los municipios de la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco (CAPV) para hacer efectivo en sociedad vasca un modelo de desarrollo sostenible. Para ello ofrece diferentes servicios: información, orientación, asesoramiento ambiental, formación técnica, herramientas y recursos, etc.

Además Ihobe gestiona también el Centro de Biodiversidad de Euskadi - Torre Madariaga en Busturia (Vizcaya).
