"The Institute of Fiscal Studies IEF is an autonomous organisation attached to the Ministry of Finance through the Secretary of State for Finance and has its own statutes. Its institutional mission, in general, focuses on two major areas:Studies, research and economic and legal advice on matters related to public revenue and expenditure and their impact on the economic and social system, as well as the analysis and use of tax statistics.Training: The IEF collaborates in the processes followed to recruit and train civil servants in the Ministry of Finance, and also cooperates with other national and international institutions in matters of training and technical assistance."
