Quesería La Antigua de Fuentesaúco is a company composed by a young, dynamic and enterprising team whose sole aim is to develop high quality cheese.
Our company, placed in one of the provinces with more tradition in this type of cheese such as is Zamora, is composed by highly qualified personnel and with great experience in the manufacture of cheese from sheep raw milk , being the result of our development process, cheese with its own personality.
In 1994, when Fernando Fregeneda Chico, a vocation shepherd, and Jesús Cruz, related to the dairy world, decided to unite their passion for the sheep milk, Gestión Agro Ganadera, S.L. was born, a company dedicated to the commercialization of sheep milk to national and international level.
Their dream was not only to sell that milk, but also to develop one of the most exquisite products in our land: cheese from sheep milk.
To begin with, an ancient and prestigious factory was rehabilitated in the town of Fuentesaúco (Zamora), province where, ever since, the most famous regional cheese has been made, with the commercial brand of QUESERÍA LA ANTIGUA DE FUENTESAÚCO.
The were supported by Mrs. Claudia (Fernando's mother) and Mr. Juan (Jesus' father-in-law), people who were already making good cheese 40 years ago, since that was the flavour that Fernando and Jesús so hard were looking for.
Nowadays, QUESERÍA LA ANTIGUA DE FUENTESAÚCO is already present in many parts of the national territory as well as in the international, preserving at any time their love for cheese and traditional forms.

Cheese made in an artisanal way with RAW SHEEP MILK, THISTLE RENNET AND SALT. In appearance it is presented in a cylindrical shape, with a smooth and thin rind, covered with a cloth in its sides. Completely eatable rind. In the interior it presents a mass with a very high creaminess, unctuous, ivory-white coloured.
