Free wifi. Double doors lead to large patio, overlooking the pool area. Sun loungers, BBQ included. There is also use of beach towels and a large cool bag and picnic set included.

Alicante- 180k - 1hr 53 mins approx

There is a large enclosed main pool, children's pool and splash pad, two large jacuzzis, showers, changing rooms and a pool bar. There is also a childrens play area and outdoor gym equipment.

The surrounding complex includes free use of tennis, football and basketball courts, running and cycle tracks. There are also cycle lanes available on most main roads in surrounding areas. Half marathons are organised for throughout the year. There is a fully equipped gym, with various classes available, including step, Pilates and yoga (in the studio and on the beach). These can be paid for as individual sessions or a weekly unlimited membership fee. You can also hire bikes for the whole family, kayaking trips, diving trips.

The local commercial centre, approx 5 minutes walk away, has a well stocked supermarket, restaurants, ice cream parlour. Or you can visit the beach bar (chirinquito) for a full menu or tapas and a drink.

There is a lively Sunday market. In the summer there is a medieval market with local crafts and food in the evenings. Live Shows and concerts. Visit local historic sites. Enjoy the carnival in February.

Further along the beach, approx 10 minutes walk, more bars and chirinquitos, sun lounger hire, giant sea inflatables, pedalo hire etc. Gorgeous little coves, where the sea is warm in the summer months.

Prices and availability on request. Fees- 50% payable upon booking, remainder 6 weeks prior to arrival. £350.00 deposit is required 7 days before rental begins and, on completion of a satisfactory inspection, will be returned within 7 days after rental ends.

Rental is typically from Saturday afternoon to Saturday morning, or Monday afternoon to Monday morning. This will be dependant on existing bookings. Check out at 11am, Check in after 2pm, but if you require alternative days/times please get in touch. Weekends and nightly bookings are possible subject to availability.

San Juan de los Terreros

The pretty coastal village of San Juan de los Terreros is situated close to the border of Andalusia and Murcia, in the province of Almeria. The area is well-known for its fabulous, family-friendly beach, which gently shelves down into the Mediterranean Sea.

The village has been developed over the years to accommodate the rising popularity in tourism in the region. However, San Juan de los Terreros still retains its old Andalusian charm and is an excellent destination for families and couples looking for a relaxing beach holiday in southern Spain.

Around town

San Juan de los Terreros provides good amenities for tourists, with shops, bars and restaurants in the village, plus some lovely wooden beach bars, where you can enjoy the local catch of the day.

There is a wonderful palm tree-lined promenade, which extends the length of the beach.

San Juan de los Terreros is home to a castle, dating back to the 16th century, which has been declared a Cultural Attraction. Built as a coastal fort, it sits atop a headland 150 metres above the coast. From the castle you can see to Cabo Cope and the resort of Carboneras.

Natural Surroundings

The village is surrounded by wonderful coastline and a backdrop of rugged mountains, which perfectly frame the skyline at sunset. Those that ascend the peaks are rewarded with some truly magnificent views to the Costa Almeria.

Just out to sea are the two islands of Isla Negra and Isla de Terreros, both are protected natural parks.

Beaches

San Juan de los Terreros is home to a lovely sandy beach, perfect for families. There are some wonderful sandy coves and inlets close by, perfect for exploring.

Places to visit

The Costa Almeria is home to the magnificent Cabo de Gata Natural Maritime Park, which can be reached easily by car.

For the family there is an aqua park 15 minutes away from San Juan de los Terreros and Oasys, a western theme park situated in the inland desert village of Tabernas.

Golf

There are several golf courses located close to the village, including Valle del Este and Mojacar’s Desert Springs Golf Course, which is about 20 minutes away.

Climate

With an average of 320 days of sunshine per year, the Almeria province has arguably one of the best climates in Spain. San Juan de los Terreros is an ideal all year round location. Temperatures range from 32-36 degrees in the summer, and about 14-16 degrees in the winter.
