Initially came to try their Singaporean breakfast until we realized it's only served on Sundays My partner and I typically aren't ones to get scones they're usually too dry for our tastes, but we decided to bite the bullet and purchase one since it didn't look too bad in the display case—and much to our surprise, it was /amazing./ The orange and dark chocolate flavours were well-balanced; the texture of the bread was just right in its binding and moisture, achieving the perfect level of not being too dry, but also not so moist that you wouldn't be able to call it a scone anymore. Be sure to try their kopi as well! The smooth texture of the butter melts right on your tongue without being too oppressive, complimenting the bitter notes well. All in all, great place! The staff was extremely friendly, communicative, and did their best to help us find substitutes for what we wanted. They're currently in their experimental era and have plenty of other imported goodies to try, so do pay a visit if you have time! We loved their new hot Singaporean offering for the weekend limited supply of tasty and high quality beef rendang and nasi lemak, durian with sticky rice, and well filled kaya croissant. We have tried the Singaporean breakfast, hot soupy longtong and various pastries in the past, They make most of these themselves! The other items sold are carefully chosen as well from local suppliers such as pineapple pastries and festivals cookies and salted egg spread. The menu is limited and evolving to ensure freshness and quality. There are only 3 wooden tables of 4 so plan your trip to avoid the lunch hour crowd if you are a big group. Jeanne offers customized beautiful grazing table parry services, cheese platters/subscriptions, special meats and Canadian and South East Asian snacks/delicacies. The store has such unique global and local cheese offerings and other specially sourced gift items that would be a great treat to yourself OR gift ideas for people who seem to have everything. Have yet to try the Sunday Singaporean breakfast, but the friendliness and welcoming owners are already enough reason to give 5 stars for me! Their interior is so cozy with variety of cheeses and other goodies. They also serve Singaporean kopi and from time to time would serve dishes like Nasi Lemak, Kueh Durian, and Rendang. Would definitely recommend for the experience. If you haven’t been to Singapore, everything is a flavour explosion in your mouth with what tasted the most authentic you can get without actually being there Highly recommend Kaya Toast dip and stir in that egg, Kopi coffee, and the Nasi Lemak with the Otak Otak steamed fish that takes a whole day to make with a dozen spices! if you don’t know anything else to order. Plus it’s a cheese shop so charcuterie accessories for all! Full on Singaporean experience that made me feel like going on a trip to Singapore without actually flying over there. We went in with an empty stomach and we tried as much as food possible. It was snowing outside and Longtong soup $19 was a perfect choice. Loved this different type of rice cake inside the soup and shrimp based lemongrass coconut soup was fantastic! Nice crunch from jicamma and loved big pieces of tofu in it. So comforting! And it was just perfectly spicy! So excited when I found out they had Beef rebdang $24. Was totally worth it and I could tell how much work was put on to make this beatifully braised meat! To finish, we tried pineapple puff$4.50, famous kaya croissant $3.90 and Kueh Pulut Tai Tai with durian jam $12.99 All desserts were solid good. Pineapple puff was packed with homemade pineapple paste, durian jam with lovely salted kaya rice cake dyed with blue pea flower was so fragrant! Shame on me that I did not order Kopi to go with all these dessert this time. Had leftover durian jam and enjoiyed with crackers later on. As much as the place itself is so cozy with all the cute decorations with nice character to it, both Jeanne and David’s welcoming hospitality was amazing. Felt so comfortable to chat and hang out at the shop. Hopefully this weekend- popup will continue to be a regular service and cannot wait to try more food. Stopped by on a rainy day before running errands to have their Singapore breakfast toast with Kaya spread and butter kopi coffee with evaporated & condensed milk & an order of otak otak grilled fish cake. Everything was delicious , flavours shone through and it really hit the spot ! Wish more people knew about this place , it’s a wonderful option for coffee considering there are tons of cafes on college offering similar things on the menu. Lovely shop with delicious drinks and food and friendly staff who are also the owners! At least on the day we were there! We got yuzu tea, blue pea lemonade, and a green dessert bar with sesame seeds can’t remember the name now. All were very good! If we weren’t traveling, I would have loved to bring some of their cheeses home, they had some really unique ones. An absolute gem on College. Their kopi Singaporean coffee is delicious and will definitely perk you up. The weekend food specials like authentic Singaporean comfort food are wonderful. The owners are kind and welcoming and treat you like family. We often get cheese plate recommendations and have always been impressed. We went here to try their weekend brunch and it did not disappoint! I had their kopi, kaya croissant, and nasi lemak. The latter really hit the spot when it came to my cravings.
